These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Capsula, a macOS application operated by SK-12 Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 12830997). "Capsula" is a trading name of SK-12 Ltd. By downloading, signing in to, or using Capsula, you agree to these Terms.
The service
Capsula is a tool for capturing, organising, and finding screenshots on your Mac. It includes optional AI features that label and sort screenshots you choose to route into Capsules. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
Your account
Using Capsula requires a free account, created by signing in with Apple. You are responsible for the activity that takes place under your account. The account is personal to you and is not to be shared.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Capsula to break the law, to infringe anyone's rights, or to attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the service. We may suspend or close accounts that do.
AI credits and payment
Capsula is free to download and use. The AI organisation features run on credits. Each new account receives 50 free AI routings. Beyond that, credits are bought as a one-off top-up — currently £10 for 1,000 AI routings.
- Credits are pay-as-you-go. There is no subscription and nothing renews automatically.
- Credits do not expire.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are in pounds sterling and include any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
- One AI routing is spent each time you route a screenshot into a Capsule.
Refunds
If a purchase did not work as expected, contact us at hello@samuel.fyi and we will put it right. Your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law are not affected by these Terms. If you delete your account, any unused credits are forfeited and are not refunded.
Your content
Your screenshots are yours. Capsula does not claim any ownership of them. When you route a screenshot into a Capsule, you grant us permission to process that image — and to pass it to our AI provider — only to the extent needed to generate the organisational labels and return them to you. AI output
The labels and suggestions produced by Capsula's AI features are generated automatically and may be inaccurate or incomplete. They are provided to assist you, not as a guarantee. You remain responsible for reviewing how your screenshots are filed.
Availability
We work to keep Capsula and its backend running well, but we provide the service "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may carry out maintenance or change the service from time to time.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SK-12 Ltd is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, arising from your use of Capsula. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Capsula keeps your screenshots as ordinary image files on your Mac; you remain responsible for backing up your own files.
Ending your use of Capsula
You can stop using Capsula and delete your account at any time from the app's settings. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms or use the service in a way that risks harm to it or to others.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make a material change we will update the "last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use Capsula after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the courts of England and Wales.
